FAQS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. How often should I wash my car?

A. Weekly. Washing once a week will properly maintain the paint and exterior of your vehicle.

Q. What types of vehicles can you wash?

A. We accept most cars, vans and trucks up to 84 inches in height and must have at least a 4-inch ground clearance. Unfortunately, we cannot wash trucks with dual wheels. We guarantee the safety of all factory-installed equipment in proper working order.

Q. Can you wash my pickup truck?

A. Yes. The pickup bed must be empty before going through the wash. This is for the safety of your vehicle and those of other customers. Also, some side mirrors are incompatible with our process and certain types of modifications that employ oversized or off-road tires or radically raised suspensions may not be compatible.

Q. Is the wash safe for convertibles?

A. Yes. Please make sure that the roof is properly latched.

Q. Is the wash safe for newly painted cars?

A. Yes. We use cloth wash materials and mild cleaners.  It is always a good idea to consult with your body shop for their recommendations.

Q. Is the wash safe for alloy wheels?

A. Yes. Most car makers caution against automatic washes that use acids on polished aluminum wheels, since these can stain or use carbon or plastic tire brushes, which can scratch. We only use soft cloth washing material, so your wheels are perfectly safe.

Q. Will a cracked windshield be safe in the wash?

A. Yes. However, once the integrity of windshield glass is compromised by rock chips (even very small ones), it becomes more susceptible to changes in temperature. So, while you may wash your vehicle with windshield damage, cracks, or chips may expand. It’s always best to repair or replace a damaged windshield immediately.

Q. Will my antenna be OK?

A. Usually, yes. However, please remove or retract your antenna prior to washing with us. Power antennas are hollow core and will break if left in the raised position. So please lower all power antennas. Fasching’s is not responsible for antennas that have not been lowered or removed. Several manufacturers have known stability issues with their shark fin antennas, so we cannot be responsible for those antennas either. Aftermarket products such as CB and cell phone antennas should be removed prior to washing as well.

Q. Do you clean the inside of my car?

A. We vacuum the floor and seats, wipe the dashboard and center console, and clean the interior windows. If the interior is stained or dirty, consider using our detail service for a very professional interior cleaning.
